South Building: Conservation at Work
$30 (Members $25)

Learn about the propagation and maintenance of fascinating animals housed at the South Building, including golden dart frogs, jellies, and Lake Victoria African cichlids. Guided by our dedicated animal care and education staff, the tour reveals the complex world of animal care and conservation work and shares how this critical work directly contributes to global conservation and sustainability.

Tour Details

  • These tours are add-on experiences and are not included with your Aquarium Admission. We recommend that you purchase your tour when you purchase (or reserve) your admission as space is limited.
  • Each program runs for about 45 minutes.
  • Participants must be at least 8 years old.
  • Participants must be at least 48" tall.
  • Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a paying, participating adult (18+).
  • Phones, cameras, and other loose articles are NOT permitted on the tours.
  • Participants must be able to navigate stairs for the Rays Behind-the-Scenes experience.
  • Individuals with seafood or shellfish allergies should not participate in the Rays experience, as participants will be handling fish and shellfish.
  • All participants must wear closed-toed shoes during tours.
