Description

Happy Black History Month! Join us throughout the month as we welcome Black science educators and community partners to host science activities, career talks, and research presentations for all guests to enjoy.

Shantelle Landry (she/her) is a Senior Science Educator at The Mariners' Museum and Park. Her passion for marine science and education lead her to her current role where she gets to interact with students from all over and help them discover their love for science. She’ll be providing an activity involving a macroinvertebrate investigation! Guests will sort through a "leaf pack" that has various types of macroinvertebrates that can be found in our lake. The purpose of this activity is to show how living creatures can be used as indicators of how healthy our lake is.
