Give StockGive From Your IRA
Donate directly from your Individual Retirement Account (IRA) for tax benefits and higher charitable impact, quickly and easily. If you are at least 70.5 years old, you can use a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) from your IRA to support the Virginia Aquarium Foundation. After reaching 73 years old, a QCD may begin to count towards fulfilling your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD). Contact your IRA custodian to make a gift from your IRA.
Donor-Advised Fund Gifts
Donor-advised funds (DAFs) are a smart way to manage your philanthropy. DAFs are created by transferring a variety of assets to a commercial or community DAF provider, which may provide tax relief. Over time, you can recommend grants to charities like the Virginia Aquarium Foundation at a time of your choosing. Contact your DAF account holder about making a gift from your DAF.
