A Couple Looks at the Shark Exhibit

Virginia Beach, VA – This Valentine’s Day, the Virginia Aquarium & Marine Science Center is celebrating love with a special evening event called Valen-Tide’s. This event will be hosted at the Aquarium’s North Building from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Guests can trade the chocolates and flowers for a romantic evening surrounded by a picturesque atmosphere.

Valen-Tide’s will be an all-inclusive evening with a gourmet food stations and an open bar, all while guests wander past sea turtles, sharks, rays, and more. The event will have enhanced offerings with keeper talks and science stations. Guests will enjoy a meal, stopping for each course at a different exhibit. This event is for ages 21 and up, and identification will be checked at the door.

Guests can have their love be displayed with a customizable message placed in an aquarium. This romantic addition can be purchased for $100, with a limited quantity of eight available. The signs size may vary slightly based on exhibit placement.

Event proceeds support the Virginia Aquarium & Marine Science Center Foundation to provide quality care for the Aquarium’s animals, offer educational programs, conduct research and conservation work, and operate the nationally recognized Stranding Response Program.
