(Virginia Beach, VA) – Through a rigorous competitive process, the Virginia Aquarium & Marine Science Center has selected Mackenzie Di Nardo to join the leadership team as the Vice President of Marketing where she will lead all aspects of marketing and public relations.

Di Nardo is well acquainted with the Virginia Aquarium, having served as the Public Relations Manager from August 2021 until November 2022, when she was named Interim Vice President of Marketing. Prior to joining the Virginia Aquarium, Di Nardo served as a content and brand manager for Reed & Associates Marketing and held various positions of progressive leadership at BCF Agency. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Communication, with a concentration in public relations and a minor in marketing, from Radford University.

The Virginia Aquarium & Marine Science Center Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, supports the work of the Virginia Aquarium. The Foundation procures and maintains the Aquarium's exhibits, including the animals and habitats. It is also responsible for annual and capital fundraising, administration and funding for the Virginia
