Virginia Beach, VA – There’s something mer-magical happening at the Virginia Aquarium & Marine Science Center. The special event, Mermaids , is happening April 16, 17, 18, and 19 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., presented by PRA Group.
For four mystical nights, guests will step into an enchanting world and come face-to-face with real mermaids and mermen swimming in the Red Sea Aquarium. Enjoy an evening of special mermaid encounters, photo opportunities, and interactive activities throughout the Aquarium.
For an exclusive look at how the mermaid magic comes to life, book the behind-the-scenes mermaid experience for $75 to meet and interact with the diving mermaids privately after their swim. Guests must be 8 years old or older and 48” tall to attend the behind-the-scenes tour.
During the event, guests may enter a drawing for the chance to win a Mermaid Factory kit to paint their own miniature mermaid. Behind-the scenes guests will be placed in an additional drawing for a chance to win a 4-person paint night at Mermaid Factory.
Tickets are on sale now at the Virginia Aquarium's website . Tickets for this event are limited and reservations are required. Timed tickets are $34.95 for Aquarium members and $42.95 for non-members. To enable full viewing of the mermaids by guests, strollers are discouraged for this event.
