Shark Week at the Virginia Aquarium

It's Shark Week! From July 24-28, our educators will conduct themed presentations for guests at the Norfolk Canyon exhibit, home to sandbar, sand tiger and nurse shark species, at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Presentation themes may include Shark Superpowers, What Makes a Shark?, and What’s for Lunch/Shark Prey, to name a few. While you are there, stop by the shark biofact table and learn fascinating facts about sharks! You can also find the Educator with the Grab Go Show bag at the Chesapeake Bay Aquarium and ask “what’s in your bag” to learn more about shark teeth and what makes them different species to species. There is also a quest guests can take to find the shark facts hidden throughout the Aquarium. Keep an eye peeled for shark or shark fin shapes with interesting factoids. |
