We're celebrating National Beach Day with special activities in our galleries, included with general admission! 

  • Beach Clean Up Relay: Participants will race against the clock and each other to see how much plastic they can clean in a set time!
  • Faux Beach Set Up to Explore Beach Zones: A model of the beach that guests can walk along and explore various items or organisms they may find in those beach zones.
  • Which Beach Are You?: Learn about different types of beaches when you take our personality quiz to see what your choices say about the type of beach you are!
  • Beach Biofacts Table: Get an up close and personal engagement with biofacts you may see on the beach.
  • Stranding Response Team Table: Talk with our Stranding Response Team to hear about all the amazing things they do on Virginia beaches!
  • Information about beach safety.
  • Activities on beach formation and microplastics.
